Philip is an experienced educational consultant, coaching STEM activities and college planning to high school students. He's helped many students and young adults meet their goals and advance their careers. Previously, he was an engineer at SpaceX for nearly a decade.
He holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
Debbie has held multiple roles in the university setting, working both inside and outside the classroom to support student learning. She began her career in academia, teaching history at the University of Illinois, the University of Mississippi, and Guilford College. She later pivoted to student support as a learning consultant at Duke University and is now a director of academic advising at the University of North Carolina.
She has served on a number of nonprofit boards and enjoys contributing to the development of organizations dedicated to student engagement.
She earned a Masters in Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Ph.D. in British Imperial History from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; an M.A. from Purdue University; and B.A. from Florida State University.
